How to Create a Work Order

The purpose of this page is to show you how to create a Work Order

Work Order Creation Process (Vendors)

  1. The Create New Work Order button is located at the top right hand corner of the Work Order web page

  2. Clicking on the button will open a blank new Work Order. First you must select the Division, Community and Lot from the dropdown menus that the work order will be assigned to. To create a Work Order to be split evenly between every unit of a townhouse building click the check box next to “Building”

  3. Then enter information in all of the blank fields in the Work Order

    • 1- Due Date is the date that the work is expected to be complete

    • 2- The Item field is a brief description of the work to be done

    • 3- Select the appropriate Phase/Activity that the Work Order will be billed to

    • 4- Total amount due for work to be completed

    • 5- Select appropriate Reason Code from options in dropdown list

    • 6- Space for more detailed information about work to be completed

    • 7- Ability to tag certain key words for the work order. Work orders can be searched by these tags later on

    • 8- Click to attach files (Pictures, PDF’s, ect.) to the work order

  4. Set the work order to the attention of appropriate approver(s). The suggested dropdown box can be used to select users that regularly interact with the task or users can be tagged manually by typing in the open field starting with the @ symbol

  5. When finished hit the Create button in the bottom left hand corner to submit the work order for approval. Hit Save as Draft to save the work order to be edited or submitted at a later time
