Plan Questions

  • Make sure the prints are updated with most recent lot-specific prints when a change order is coming through.

    • There was a concern that change orders were not reflected on lot-specific drawings in SchedulePro. The plans are trigged by the rough load.  Once the rough is on schedule, the rough load as well as the plans DO NOT CHANGE.  The solution to this is to have a procedure in your office for change orders after rough is scheduled. Requesting plans via UCS with a type E will update the SP plans with the latest accepted trim change orders.  I have attached the process.  I will work with the Area Cost Supervisors on communication to the divisions.

    • There were also comments about how long plans take to reach SchedulePro.  These new sales or updates (once lumber is accepted which is an overnight process) take only about 2 minutes per job to get to SchedulePro, but if there is a large volume to post (i.e. CWT might have 800 jobs), it can take over a day for the plans to populate after rough lumber acceptance.

  • Cataloging the custom options that are drawn by ASD to be linked to the SchedulePro lot-specific prints.

    • There are Custom or Community options that are 3-digits beginning with C that are drawn by ASD but are non-standard options. These are not easily incorporated with the prints that are located in SchedulePro lot docs.  The Simply Ryan and Lifestyle product are a simpler product with fewer options that can, at times, incorporate these new options with the drawings.

    • For other products where the C?? options are not fully supported, they are created as non-std. drawings outside of the 3D model ASD uses to create their lot-specific drawings.  For this reason those C?? options cannot be included with the drawings that are located on SchedulePro or Plant supplied sets.  These drawings are made available at time of completion for the project and can be ordered separately through the Print Room referencing the DMR # of the project.

    • There is no quick solution to this.  I believe, right now, the best way to handle this is the current process of uploading these additional option drawings to a task that the trade partners can access.
