Firefox Connection not secure Issue

The purpose of this page is to help you with a issue with the latest version of Firefox Web Browser.  Please consult your IT department before making any changes as the steps below will change the default settings.  

This issue was first discovered late in 2018.  The tell tale sign is that a majority of sites do not work except for Apple.com  If you are experiencing this try the steps below.

This is what you might be seeing when you go to any website.  If so follow the steps below.



  1. Open a new tab
  2. Type "About:Config" in the address bar and click Enter
  3. A warning will come up.  Click "I accept the risk".
    1. Please consult your IT professional if you do not feel comfortable making this change.
  4. Next you will type the work "Root" in the search bar
  5. Right click on the row labeled "Security.enterprise_roots.enable"
  6. Click on the button labeled "Toggle"
  7. The column labeled "Value" should change in that row from False to True
  8. Open a new table and try to access any site
  9. Once confirmed you can close the about:config tab
