How to setup an Out of Office for your Text Messages

The purpose of this job aid is to configure your iPhone and iPad to reply with an out of office  when you are away.  This is good for holidays, vacation or extended absence.

Work life balance is very important to our employees, with current technology project managers sometimes feel that they are always on the clock.  This feature will notify the sender that you are not going to answer or respond as you are not available.

Configuring your text message out of office

1. Swipe up on your screen to display the control panel.  You should see a Car icon somewhere on the screen.  If you do not follow the steps below.

2. To configure this feature you will need to go to the Settings page, then click on the Do not Disturb button
   1. 
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page to setup your custom Out of Office message
   1. Other settings are customize-able, we recommend you adjust it to fit your needs.

4. Setting up this feature will take two steps
   1. First Click on the Auto-Reply To button (#1) and select who should get the message. We recommend All Contacts if you are truly going to be be away
   2. Second Click on the Auto Reply button (#2)
   3. 
5. You are now able to create a message that will be sent every time someone texts you while you are in this mode. This message should mirror your normal email out of office but geared towards text.

6. Now with this feature turned on anyone who texts you will get the Auto reply. (Example Below)

7. You will know when this feature is turned on by the moon icon located in the upper right hand corner of your screen.  This feature can be turn on and off on demand.
