Appliance (GE) SOP

The purpose of this page is to outline the standard operating procedure for scheduling a home’s appliance. If you have questions or concerns please contact your SchedulePro Area Lead or create a Support Ticket.

Appliance delivery options

Depending on the community and product appliance delivery can vary from site to site. Below are some of the most common options.

Please note that any phase activity change needs to also be performed in the Community Vendor Table (CVT).

Single Delivery

When using this option the expectation is that all appliances will be delivered on a single day. To accomplish this you will want to have the following setup:

  • Single PO using the phase 340A

  • Task “Delivery - Appliances” is located in the template on the requested sequence day.

    • The template should NOT contain tasks “Delivery - Early Appliances” or “Delivery - Late Appliances”

    • The Community Standard Option page should not have selected the option “3rd Appliance”

Early Delivery

In this situation it might call for an appliance or two (e.g. Wall Oven or Dishwasher) to be delivered earlier in the process for a trim carpenter or plumber to install. To accomplish this you will want to have the following setup:

  • Two POs using the phase 340E AND 340F

    • 340E should contain parts for the appliances that need to be delivered before the others.

    • 340F should contain the appliances to be delivered 2nd.

  • The task “Delivery - Early Appliances” is located in the template on the requested sequence day on or before the trade partner is going to install it.

  • The task “Delivery - Appliances” is located in the template on the day you want the remaining appliances. This is traditionally after flooring is installed and around the beginning of punching out the house.

Late Delivery

Getting appliances late is usually done to accommodate appliances that are oversized or are not needed for inspection. Traditionally this is the refrigerator and/or washing machine and dryer. To configure your schedule for this situation you will want to do the following setup:

  • Two POs using the phase 340F and 340G

    • 340F should contain parts for the appliances that need to be delivered first

    • 340G should contain the appliances that need to be delivered towards the end of construction

  • The task “Delivery - Appliances” is located in the template on the day you want your first delivery.

  • The task “Delivery - Late Appliance” is located in the template on the day you want the remaining appliances delivered.

    • This task can be triggered with the use of the COMMUNITY option “3rd Appliance” or with one of several UCS option codes.

3 Separate Deliveries

This should be used when you want 3 separate delivers for your appliances. This is common in larger homes or those that have a longer then normal build time. The expectation is that these tasks are NEVER on the same day. To configure your schedule for this situation you will want to do the following setup:

  • Three POs using the phase 340E, 340F, and 340G

    • 340E should be your early appliances (e.g. wall oven)

    • 340F should be your cooking appliances (e.g. range, cooktop, dishwasher, etc.)

    • 340G should be your late appliances (e.g. Washer/Dryer)

  • All three tasks should be used and located on different days in your template.

    • Failure to have these on separate days might result in GE delivering appliances on different trucks at different times. Please see the options above if you do not need to have 3 separate deliveries.

Phase Activity Setup and Transition

To accommodate the options above each division needs to do the following steps below:

Please note that any phase activity change needs to also be performed in the Community Vendor Table (CVT).

Division Phase Activity Page

Single Delivery(Whole division)

If all communities are going to be requesting a single delivery then please do the following

  • On the division phase activity page find the task “Delivery - Appliances” and turn ON 340A and turn OFF 340F

  • Find tasks “Delivery - Early Appliances” and “Delivery - Late Appliances” and turn OFF 340E and 340G

Multiple Deliveries(Whole division)

If all communities are going to be requesting multiple deliveries then no action is needed. At the current time your phases should be turn on correctly. To confirm make sure the following is true.

  • “Delivery - Early Appliance” has 340E turned ON

  • “Delivery - Appliances” has 340F turned ON

  • “Delivery - Late Appliances” has 340G turned ON

  • 340A turned OFF for all tasks

Mix of Deliveries

If some communities are going to be requesting multiple deliveries and other single please set up the Division Phase Activity page in the following manner.

  • “Delivery - Early Appliance” has 340E turned ON

  • “Delivery - Appliances” has 340F turned ON and 340A turned ON

  • “Delivery - Late Appliances” has 340G turned ON

Transition (Backlog)

All un-started lot will need to have a Phase Activity Refresh performed. Please refer to the the support page if you need help with this process (Click Here). Doing this WILL NOT remove tasks from existing schedules however it will remove the phase. If you wish to remove the task you will want to perform a Refresh on the schedule. Please understand that GE only sees tasks in which a PO is assigned. Having extra tasks with no POs will not confuse GE and their scheduling department.

*If transitioning to 340A this step needs to happen for GE to see the task in SchedulePro.
